Penetrant Testing (PT)
For any non-porous, magnetic or non-magnetic material, including metals, ceramics, plastics, etc., the Penetrant Testing method allows the timely detection of cracks and other defects open to the surface.
Depending on the particular case, the following types can be used:
- Penetrants visible under white light or fluorescent under ultraviolet light.
- Penetrants removable with water or solvent.
- Dry or wet developers.
